Newsletter Term 2, Week 4

Coroglen School Newsletter

Term 2 Number 4
Wednesday 29th May 2013

Hello / Kia Ora

Teacher Only Day – a reminder that School will be closed on Friday 31st May for a Teacher Only Day. This is also Queen’s Birthday weekend, so school will also be closed on Monday 3rd June.

Garage Sale – This will be on Saturday 1 June. Good quality reusable items can be dropped off to 8 Cobham Lane from Friday. We will be including a cake stall, and would appreciate a cake from each family to make this the cake stall everyone will be talking about. If you have excess fruit on your trees and can bag these up, please send them along as well.  Please drop these off on Friday to School or on Saturday to the above address.

Keeping Ourselves Safe – The junior room children will be bringing home a keeping Ourselves Safe handbook to complete and keep at home. This is for them to keep as a resource.
Life Education Trust – will be at the School next Tuesday and Wednesday. The junior children are looking at emotions and how we deal with them appropriately (which complements the Keeping Ourselves Safe programme we have just finished).

Senior Olive Trip – If you are not taking children on this trip, please send $5 per child towards the cost of transport on the day. Children will need a packed lunch and a water bottle. Children will also need sensible walking shoes and a jacket.

Lawns donation – If you are not sure if you have paid this, please contact the school to find out what is outstanding. Lawns donation pays for the cost of having our school lawns mowed regularly. $30 for one child, or $60 for two or more children.

Manual fees – are also due for year 7 and 8 children. Year 7 manual fees are $38 per child; year 8 manual fees are $45 per child.

Kind regards
Penny and the Team.

Coroglen “Cool Kids” playing well inside on a rainy day. Well done!
