Hello / Kia Ora
We had a fantastic day on Monday when Jane Ford who is the Community
Trainer for Red Cross in the Bay of Plenty Region visited our senior class to
teach them some of the basics in first aid training. Our senior children now
have knowledge of first response including how to call for help, respond to
broken bones, poisons, burns and scalds. They each received certificates of
participation at the end of the day.
Last day of term 2 is this Friday 3rd July. School resumes on
Monday 20th July. Last day of Term 3 is Friday 25th
September.

Our
Local History
We are going to be looking at our local history and family histories
beginning on Wednesday 22nd July. To start this school wise study we
have a visitor who will tell us about local history. This study incorporates
modern technology and inclusive practices with the values that make up our
school vision which are Curiosity, Creativity, Consideration and Confidence. If
anyone would like to share stories from your own childhood or school days (not
necessarily Coroglen) or family history, please come along and join in from 9am
to 10.15am in the school library.
Thank you Sam Toworai for sending the photos you took last week at the
Winter Sports. Everyone had a great time.
Reuben recently visited the junior classroom to teach the children about
road safety.
