Poi Making at Coroglen School

Another unit of Our Places, Our History study the senior room children have been making outdoor poi as part of traditional maori games. Last week students learnt the traditional maori game Poi Toa. Maori use to play Poi Toa to help increase their hand eye co-ordination skills and also to strengthen their wrists in preparation for battle.
