On returning your key at the end of the season, a refund of $10 will be given. All
children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult as per school

End of
year Performance
The children have been busy preparing for the end of year performance
and prize giving this Friday 11th December. Could the children assemble at
the hall by 6.15pm. The Juniors are
performing first – please don’t be late. They are being boys and girls (unless
told otherwise) so costumes can be kept simple. Performance starts at 6.30pm.
Please bring a plate of food for supper after the performance/prize giving and
drop off to the hall kitchen.
School Picnic
We will be having our Picnic Day on Tuesday 15th December at
The 309 Waterhole meeting at 10am. There is no transport provided. It is
situated 2.5 kms up The 309 Rd on the left hand side and has ample parking and
public toilets. Please bring plenty of food and drinks as there are no shops to
buy refreshments. It is a nice and safe spot for the little kiddies with grass
and plenty of shade. There is also a spot for the bigger kids to play. All children must be supervised.

Sushi making
Last week
Briar Ward from Project Energiser got the children in the senior room to roll
up their sleeves and roll some sushi full of carrots, celery, avocado and
chicken. Every one enjoyed eating the healthy lunch option which was easy and
fun to make.
This is our
last newsletter for the year. We hope you all have a wonderful summer break and
come back refreshed and full of fantastic stories about what you did in the
holidays.

Senior room Rotorua trip
Last week’s
trip to Rotorua was full on from the time they arrived to the time they left with
all kinds of exciting, educational and fun activities. From Wingspan- seeing
big birds of prey up close and getting to hold them and watch them in action,
climbing a mountain, descending into the crater down a scree slope then having
to climb back out again to, fun on the rock wall, walking around the blue and
green lakes, also walking the Waimangu Volcanic Valley and a boat ride around
Lake Rotomahana and the Mitai Concert experience and hangi plus amazing
springs. Also the Buried Village, Rainbow Springs and the Big Splash, The
Gondolas and Luge. It was jammed packed and well worth the money!
Thank you to
Ms Upsall and all the parents and students who made this year’s Rotorua Camp
the best ever!
Have a wonderful week, Penny & the team
