All parents of bus users should now have received a letter outlining expectations for behaviour on the bus. We anticipate quiet and safe journeys to continue.

End of Term Performance
We have finished writing the school performance and the children have all received their parts although we a still tweaking them a little. They have been busy with Justine and the teachers learning the songs for the performance. We will be having a final dress rehearsal on Thursday 22nd September which will be open to parents to come along and watch.
After the actual performance on Friday night there will be a presentation for Penny to thank her for 18 years as our Principal.
We are putting together a book of her time with us, if you have any photographs that would be appropriate to be included please bring them to the school or email them to us at [email protected]

Orchard Spraying
Due to the weather the neighbouring orchard was not sprayed last weekend, but will be spraying the kiwifruit block this weekend. Any residue should be gone by Monday.

Hockey
The children enjoyed another hockey session with Reiner today.

Have a good week,
from Jean and the team.

Behaviour on the Bus

Unfortunately there has been some unacceptable behaviour from some children on the bus. Please remind your children that travelling on the bus is a privilege not a right. They must remain in their allocated seat, talk quietly only to the person beside them and not be eating or drinking. They must comply with any instructions given to them by the bus monitors or the driver. Any further behaviour which is deemed unsafe will result in that child being excluded from the bus. A seating plan will be coming home to families who use the buses, for your reference.

Coroglen School Past pupils brag:
·

Tyrese Melde is one of only four children from the Thames Valley area to be selected to go to Melbourne for a Basketball Training Camp in November. Well done!

·
Lily Hare has just been named on the Massey University Pro Vice-Chancellor's Merit List for 2015, which recognises a first class pass, excellence in undergraduate study!

Congratulations to you both on these excellent achievements.

Phone tree alteration:
The number listed for Steven Hales is actually Sharon’s alternative number. Steve’s number is 021 295 3870

Meeting Requirements and Needs
The MOE requires our school to record the ethnic identity of our students. They request families to choose one ethnic category by which they are officially recognised. However we often have more than one ethnic group in our family background.
We are still collecting this information so if you have not already done so, please complete the short pro forma below to help us with this task.
