Bridge Hold Up
Thank you to our parents who rocked up last Friday afternoon at the Coroglen Bridge to hold up all the Scallop Festival goers and a few locals. Their efforts raised a whopping $2,260.30 for the school. Thank you very much. This money will be used to help fund our technology and music up-grades.

Concert Performance
We have only one week to go! So please help your child learn their speaking parts (they all have scripts). We will be having a dress rehearsal on Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm, and it would be great to have everyone here. If you can help with costumes, please let us know.
The Concert Performance and farewell for Miss Anderson is on Friday 23rd September and will begin at 6.30pm. (Please be there by 6.10pm at the latest.) The performance will be followed by supper –please bring a plate of finger food to share,

Pet Day

We would like to have a meeting this Thursday to sort out Pet Day jobs. To ensure Pet Day runs smoothly we will need at least six volunteers to help run the stalls and activities planned. Meeting is in the library at 3.15pm. See you there J

Pet Projects
Children’s writing that has been completed at school will come home next week for them to add to over the holidays. The diaries/projects will be due back at school by Wednesday 12th October so they can be handed to the judges.

It will be helpful if you could let us know by the end of the week what animals are coming to Pet Day, so that we can organise enough judges and ribbons. Some of the categories and/or age groups may change depending on the number of entries.

Peninsula Cross Country
Well done to all of our children who competed in the Peninsula Cross Country last Wednesday. Special congratulations to Moana Manukau who came 2nd in her race, and Whenua Manukau who was also well placed coming 11th.

Our school is looking fantastic. Another huge thanks to Lloyd and Trinity McQueen for moving the rest of the mulch! This has been an ongoing chore by the McQueen family. Thank you.

Ice Skate Tour
Once again the Mercury Bay Fishing Club is hosting Ice Skating in Whitianga over the school holidays. Kids are only $7 including ice skates.
Sunday 25th Sept – Tuesday 27th Sept 10am-5pm
Wednesday 28th Sept 10am-8pm
Thursday 29th Sept 10am-5pm

Blissing Out on Bliss Balls
Thanks to Sheree, Kerryn and team for sharing a healthy treat with the Juniors last Friday. Most of the children enjoyed rolling and trying the Bliss Balls. They were all given the recipe if you want to try them at home.

Have a good week,
from Jean and the team.

With special thanks to our sponsors:
