Hello and Kia ora tatou.
Internet Use Contract
Thank you to those
children/parents who have returned the Internet Use Contracts. If you have not
already done this, can you please return them asap. We have extra forms at the
school. Children who have not signed an Internet Use Contract will not be able to
use the computers from next Monday.
Bus Users Contract/Agreement
Thank you also to the children
who have signed the Bus Users Contract. There are still a few who need to
return their signed Agreements. We are confident there will be no issues while
our children are travelling on the bus to and from school.
Country Swimming Sports Y4-Y8
A great day, wonderful weather,
excellent organisation and fabulous participation and support from all of our
students and whanau. Special congratulations to Awa and Riley-Jean, who both
placed second in their 25m freestyle finals and Dekota, who also completed 25m
freestyle.
BOT Meeting
We had two parents who put their
names forward to join the BOT. At the meeting last week the Board decided to
Co-opt both of these parents. Welcome Dave Warwood who is taking on the Health
& Safety portfolio and welcome back Jacinta O’Donahue who is our Community
Consultant and also will be involved with fundraising.
Mercury Bay Day Camp
Registrations are now
open and you can pick up a copy from the office. Please get these in early to
avoid disappointment. They do not take any late registrations at all.
Seaweek Study
As explained in the
special newsletter that came home yesterday our planned trip to Te
Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve in Hahei did not happen today due to a lack of
transport. We are now planning to take the children on Thursday 9th March
as part of our Seaweek study instead. We will be leaving the school by 9.30am
returning early afternoon. Please make sure children have a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and a packed
lunch for the day.
Free to a good home . . .
Two four month old
kittens. (Similar to these 2)
A grey tabby girl and
a black boy.

Skoolbo
Children have
information about Skoolbo in their homework books. This has their usernames
& passwords in so they can access it from home. It helps improve their
maths skills and reading skills. It can also be played with friends and
siblings.
Head Lice
Remember to keep checking for
head lice. Regular brushing helps break their legs. Another natural option is
to rinse hair with apple cider vinegar. Longer hair should be tied up at
school.
Have a good
week, from Jean and the team.
