Newsletter, Term 2, Week 3

Hello and Kia ora tatou.
BOT Meeting
Our next BOT meeting is on Monday 22nd May in the school library. All are welcome.

Elgregoe

The children enjoyed the “You’ve got the power” anti-bullying show presented by Elgregoe yesterday. The parrots that appeared from nowhere were amazing. Can those children who have not paid their $2 entry please bring it along as soon as possible. Thanks as always to the parents who provided transport and to Mr Marsden and Whenuakite School for inviting us.
The children all received an entry into the 2017 Trustpower Anti-bullying Competition. They just need to design an anti-bullying poster or poem they think could make a difference in their school.

Stationery Accounts
Stationery accounts for last term are attached. Lawns fees are not included on the stationery accounts, but are now payable to the school $30 per child or $60 for a family.

Photolife school photo

If you haven’t already ordered your school photo, it is not too late. You can ring 0800 50 1040 and follow the prompts.

Winter Sports
If there are any parents who can help with Hockey and Soccer please let us know as we are now training for our Winter Sports Day on Tuesday 4th July.

Once again we will be needing transport for all our children to travel into Whitianga Fire Station, leaving the school around 9.30am. If you are able to provide transport please fill in the transport slip at the end of the newsletter.
This is part of our Keeping Ourselves Safe programme.

121st Birthday

It is our 121st Birthday on Saturday 21st May. We will have a few fun things on Friday to celebrate with the children to mark the occasion.
Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge
This is the chance for our kids to get involved in New Zealand’s biggest mud run series! For those kids who want to experience the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge in a version tailored especially for children just grab an entry form from the school and register. This is open the school years 3-8
