Hello / Kia Ora

Thank you to Fiona Illingworth, Caitlyn and Amy Hodge for the wonderful cakes they made to celebrate our 117^th birthday. They were awesome. Thank you also to the ladies in the fundraising committee who served everyone sausages on the day.

BOT School Elections – closed last Thursday with three nominations in total. We only needed three parent representatives, so a vote will not be required. The Returning Officer has publicized the results in this newsletter.

Teacher Only Day – a reminder that School will be closed on Friday 31^st May for a Teacher Only Day. This is also Queen’s Birthday weekend, so school will also be closed on Monday 3^rd June.

Garage Sale – This will be on Saturday 1 June. Good quality reusable items can be dropped off  to 8 Cobham Lane from Friday. We will be including a cake stall, and would appreciate a cake from each family to make this the cake stall everyone will be talking about. Please drop these off on Friday to School or on Saturday to the above address.

School Photos – Photolife have taken the school photos, and the prepaid orders have been sent off. The photos should be returned in about three weeks time.

Phone Tree – we are updating our phone tree list, so could you please return the updated contact numbers attached to the bottom of the newsletter as soon as possible. If we have your new numbers we will be able to contact you or your nominated adult easily.

Gym Sports – Last Thursday the junior room enjoyed a taste of gym sport.

They are pictured doing arm stretches, and back stretches.

Happy Birthday – Coroglen School celebrated their 117th birthday on Monday with a dress up day. The seniors researched the games played by children at the school over 100 years ago and in the afternoon the entire school participated in a fun day playing the sports children played when the school first opened. Games included Annie Over,  Team Handball, Deer Stalker, Rolling the Hoop and Red Rover. Pictured are a few shots of the children having a fun afternoon the good ole fashion way.
