Newsletter - Term 1 Number 11

Parent Interviews – These have been postponed until Thursday the 5th of May. You will receive your notice for time of interview before the end of term. I have a few spaces left later in the afternoon.

J Rock – This will be happening again this year. Watch this space -J Rock Coming Soon.

Ukelele Festival – on the 2nd of April Miss Upsall, Danielle, Tom Dodd and Julia Rhodes performed on stage at the Katikati music festival. They had a wonderful time. The Coromandel Festival is on Saturday the 14th of May. Contact Jenny Upsall if you would like to a part of their group.

Singing Group will be starting on Monday the 9th of May from 3.15 to 4.15 at Whenuakite School. Contact Justine 8663923 for more information.

Rotorua Camp - I have been in discussions with the Rotorua tourism people who have made an action packed plan for our trip to Rotorua. Unfortunately to do everything has worked out over $300. I realize that we have families who have two students in the senior room and adults who would like to come also. Rather than compromise the quality of the experience it might be an idea to postpone till September /October. This will give us time to raise the money required to do all the activities planned.

Holidays – The holidays begin on Friday 15th at 3pm. School will open again on Monday the 2nd of May. This has been an extra-long term to accommodate the Rugby World Cup. Traffic in Auckland is always heavier during the school term. Term 2 will end on Friday the 15th of July.

Pool – The weather is getting colder and it is time to shut down the pool. Please return your pool keys as soon as possible.

Easter Egg Hunt – Easter Sunday 10am – 2pm. The hunt will begin at 12 noon– Thanks for all the groceries. There is still time to send in any pantry goods for the raffle. The children have been making their boats. These can be brought on the day for sale with the rest. Thanks to those who have offered help on the day. There will plenty of jobs and people who will need breaks so just call out.

Have a great holiday with your wonderful children.
