Newletter–Term 2 Number 4

Hello, Kia Ora

Westpac Challenge – We are the regional winners of the Westpac Challenge. We will be visited by the rescue helicopter in the next couple of weeks. Later in the year we will be visited by a mystery sports celebrity. Well done to everyone who donated money for this worthy cause. Congratulations!!

The Raffle winners are as follows – 14/5, number 33 Jessie Lockhart; 21/5, number 11 Lisa Peehikuru; 28/5 number 4 Teresa Saunders. The scratchies were won by Tad and Jessie.

Senior Rotorua Trip- Lucky Lotto numbers will go on sale for the next 5 weeks. You can buy a number for $10. All proceeds will go towards trip fundraising. I have asked Tourism Rotorua to update the itinerary. You raised over $2000 in three weeks and the focus is now on fundraising for the senior trip.

Tree Planting – On Monday the 13th of June the school are going to Hot Water Beach to plant some more trees. We will assemble at school at 9am and travel to the middle car park by 9.30am. You will need sensible shoes and a spade if you have one. Please complete the permission slip at the end of this newsletter.

Matariki – The school are studying Matariki at the moment. It is a good time for early morning stargazing. Next Friday at 11am we will have a sharing time where we will demonstrate what we have learned. This will be followed by a shared lunch. Finger food only please.

BOT Meeting – The BOT are meeting at school on Wednesday the 15th of June at 3.15. All are welcome to attend to see how the Board operates. We are currently seeking a new board member.
