WHENUAKITE RED PANTHERS

The girls won 2 of their 3 games at the Whangamata Tournament! It was really exciting as we finally worked out where everyone should be on the court. Charlotte got 10 goals and L'Shae did really well at GK. The girls once again played really at Coromandel against Manaia. Unfortunately they didn't win but had some great combinations & intercepts. Charlotte got another 4 goals. Thanks to Katey D for helping Manaia out.

Winter Sports- Coroglen, Te Rerenga and Whenuakite Year 4-8 children were wonderful onFriday. The weather was a mixed bag with showers, wind and sunshine. The teams accepted that winter sports often come with cold wet condition and rose above it to produce some phenomenal games. Team spirit was high and we were very proud of all the competitors. The parents and friends watching were impressed by the skill level and fitness of the teams.

clip_image012The inside games were amazing with one group scoring the same points. This demonstrates how close the competition was.

Thanks to the referees, umpires, team managers, teachers, and supporters

.

Thanks also to Jamie Marsden and his team who have once again organised a fabulous event.
