Newsletter, term 2, week 10

Coroglen School Newsletter
Term 2 Number 10
Wednesday 10th July 2013

Hello / Kia Ora

End of term 2 – Last week of term 2 this week. We have had a very busy term, especially the last couple of weeks. School will re-open on Monday 29th July 2013.

Sports roundup - Congratulations to Liam McQueen who was nominated by Whangamata as best and fairest player in the 5th grade rugby game on Saturday.
Well done Isabelle Catton, who scored a try against Paeroa Tigers in the under 11 League game on Sunday.

Stationery accounts – Thank you to the families who have paid their stationery accounts. Some accounts are getting high and unfortunately if these remain unpaid, we will no longer be able to supply stationery through the school for these families. The school tries very hard to supply children with stationery as required so they can continue learning with the least interruptions, but is unable to continue to cover this cost.

Sadly Jim Seymour-East passed away last week. Jim has been mowing the Coroglen School lawns for many years and will be sadly missed. Our condolences go out to Mary and family during these difficult times. Jim’s funeral service will be held at the Crossroad Fellowship in Mercury Bay on Friday at 2pm.

Pet Day – is on Saturday 21st  September. If you are bringing a lamb, calf or kid, you will need to start rearing your pet over the next few weeks. Ideally you should keep a diary for at least 6 weeks recording your journey with your chosen pet.

School T-shirts – reminder these need to be returned to the school.
