Hello / Kia Ora

Thames Valley Swimming – Congratulations to our swimmers who travelled to Thames last Friday for the Thames Valley Swimming.  Antonio came 3rd in his heat for the 25m Backstroke for 12 year olds; Ben came 1st in his heat for the 50m Freestyle for 11 year olds; Carter came 3rd in his heat for the 25m Backstroke for 10 year olds; Jerome came 4th in his heat for 25m Freestyle for xx year olds. Well done all of you.

Coroglen Charity Horse Trek - Just a quick reminder that our Horse Trek Fundraiser is this Saturday!!! We can’t thank all of you wonderful parents who are helping by making salads, muffins, cakes or cooking meat etc. and especially those awesome parents who are coming up to help set the food out on the day and be part of such a fun day.  We have noticed that most of the food is being prepared by the same parents as always we would love some of the new families from school to help out as well and be part of it all.  If anyone else is keen to make something for the day we would really appreciate it.
For those of you who are making food and not coming up on Saturday could you please bring it down after school on Friday or to the end of Mill Creek if you don’t come to school to pick up your children.  We would like to transfer that food to the venue on Friday afternoon so we don’t have to worry everyone on Saturday.  If you have any problems with that please just give me a call so we can arrange another time that suits.  If anyone has any questions, would like to help by making some food or offer their help on the day please call me on 866-3134.  Thanks heaps Amy

Mercury Bay Day Camp – You have only one more week to register. Last day is April 4th.  Registration forms are available at school.

Surf Lifesaving Champs – Congratulations to Ben Smith who won the overall Championship for the 11 year olds; Sean Smith who won the overall Championship for the 9 year olds; Caitlyn Hodge who won 2 bronze and 2 purple ribbons and Anna Smith who won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in the individual events.

Mercury Bay Council and the Mercury Bay Community Board are looking for passionate community members who are interested in becoming part of a working committee for the development of the site of the (old) Coroglen sale yard land.    Anyone is welcome to attend - we are meeting at the Coroglen Tavern - Wednesday 2 April at 6.30pm.
