Newsletter, Term 1, Wk 1

Hello / Kia Ora

Welcome back to term 2
We hope you all enjoyed your break over the school holidays. Term 2 ends on Friday 4th July.
We farewelled Noah at the end of term 1, as his family had to move from Coroglen. We wish him well at his new school.

School photos
This is a reminder that your child/ren’s prepaid class and portrait envelopes for school photos need to be returned by Friday 16th May. The photos will be on Monday 19th May. If you have not received a Prepaid envelope, please let the school know, as we have spares.

Winter Sports
This will be held on Wednesday 25th June at Whenuakite School. We have started training for this. Please ensure your children remember to bring sneakers.
Any parents willing to come down and help train the children in netball, hockey, rippa or soccer will be most welcome. Please let Jenny know if you can help out. We have 6 weeks of training.

Stationery List
Please find attached your stationery list. Any outstanding lawns fees and manual fees will be added to your stationery from next month.

Magnetic Times Tables
This colour coded times table is designed to help children learn the times table and understand how the times table works and why. If you are interested in purchases any, please fill in the attached sheet, and return to the school by next Friday 16th May 2014

Penny : Just needed to write a short note of thanks to our amazing community which has supported me through this challenging time. Antonio and I have appreciated the team who helped transport him to school and I have read and reread the lovely cards and letters. Thank you.

After School
It has come to our attention that students are routinely still at school well after 3pm. This is not a problem most of the time if we know about it before hand.  Children who are at school after 3pm need to be supervised please.

Thought of the Week
The good thing about making new friends is that they haven’t heard all your old stories.

Have a fantastic week

Penny and the team
