Stationery Accounts
Please find attached to this newsletter your stationery accounts. We have added any outstanding lawns fees, and outstanding manual fees for the year 7 & 8s for 2014. Lawns fee for one child is $30 per year, for two or more children $60 per year.
As usual payment can be made in instalments, and remember the lawns will be receipted separately as a donation which is tax deductible.

Fundraising get together
Hi Everyone! As we don’t have a fundraising event coming up we thought we could take this opportunity to just have a little get together after school. We thought it would be nice for parents to have a chance to meet one another and to just discuss some general fundraising ideas etc. without the worry of being signed up for something. We would love for you to join us after school on Friday 6th June from 3.15pm at The Coroglen Tavern for some hot chips, and a friendly chat. See you there. Amy Hodge

BOT
With the Jordan family leaving our school, we did not only farewell two children, but also one of our Board of Trustee members. So we are looking for another member to join our Board of Trustees. Becoming a school trustee could be one of the most rewarding roles you have. Being a school trustee is an important role that needs people with a range of skills and experiences, who believe in making a positive difference to our children’s learning. If you would like to know more about this role, please see either Seba Illingworth (Chairperson), or Penny Anderson (Principal) or/and come along to our next BOT meeting  next Tuesday 10th June at 3.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

MARK THIS DATE – Pet Day 2014
will be held on
Saturday the 27th of September

Winter Sports Y4-8
We have begun training for our Winter Sports. Children need to bring suitable footwear to school every day, as they are required for some of the sports we are practicing.
Winter Sports are for our Years 4-8 and are on Wednesday 25th June at Whenuakite School. More information will be sent home closer to the day.

We have some plates left behind from the Teddy Bears picnic and the shared lunch from last term with our wraps and smoothies. If you are missing any, please check at the school.

Project Energise visit
Briar Ward from Project Energise visited this week to discuss the sugar content in all varieties of drinks and juices. We discovered that 250ml of water has zero sugar content, 250ml milk has 2 tsp, 250ml energy drinks have 7tsp, 250ml coke has 10 tsp, a bottle of  Powerade has 14 tsps. Students in the senior room made these posters.
