Newsletter, Term 3, Wk 9

Hello / Kia Ora

Pet Day
Please bring in your non-perishable items for the grocery hamper by the end of the week.

We will also be asking each family to bake a cake for our cake stall. All cakes/ biscuits need to be brought to school on Saturday 26th September and dropped off at the cake stall.

There will be a final meeting for parents for the preparation of Pet Day next Monday 21st September at 2pm in the school library. Please come along if you are able to help us on the day. You know the saying….many hands make light work. If you can’t make it, but want to be involved please ring Jacinta on J 0212 511 377.

Board of Trustees Meeting
Our next BOT meeting is on Tuesday 22nd September in the staff room at 3.15pm. All are welcome.

Whitianga Touch Club
Junior Touch for boys, girls and mixed teams 6 years and up will be starting on Thursday 15th October and played every Thursday from 4.30pm at the Mercury Bay Multi Sports Complex. If you are interested in getting a team together or being put in a team, you can pick up a registration form from the school.

Senior Rotorua Trip
We will now be able to make some tentative bookings now we know who is coming. The teachers will get together to discuss some views from parents regarding some of the activities and make contact with the Tourism Rotorua Education Officer to discuss dates in November.
Thank you to all the parents who have indicated they are interested in attending this camp. We have confirmed 16 children and 8 possibly 9 parents attending this trip.

A revised costing for this trip will come home shortly depending on the activities we do, and the cost for the accommodation.

Yummy Stickers
We are asking for all yummy sticker sheets to come back to the school whether they have been finished or not. Julia will be tallying these up over the next week and getting them sent off. We have attached new yummy sticker sheets for you to start on for next year.

Stationery Accounts
We have attached the latest stationery accounts to be paid before the end of the term. Accounts for outstanding lawns fees and manual fees will be coming home at the beginning of next term. These are separate from you stationery accounts.

Parent Survey
Our Board of Trustees want to know what YOU think about Coroglen School so have attached a parent survey for you to complete and return. All your answers will be confidential as this is an anonymous survey that is entirely your choice to complete. We would appreciate these surveys being completed by next Friday 25th September. Summarised results will be made available at Coroglen School in Term 4 2015.

Last day for Term 3 is Friday 25th September. Term 4 starts on Monday 12th October.

Have a fantastic week - Penny and the team
