Newsletter, Term 3, Wk 10

Hello / Kia Ora

Pet Day

Because we are such a small rural school, we take the opportunity of Pet Day to raise funds to help with the cost of running our school. Your support is the difference to making this day successful.

We are still looking for non-perishable items for the grocery hamper. Please have them in by Friday so we can sort out the hamper.

Cakes/ biscuits from each family need to be brought to school on Saturday 26th September and dropped off at the cake stall. Once again we rely on your support for this stall.

Pet Diaries & Projects
These should be completed and handed in by now. Judging of the pet diaries and projects will be judged starting today and will need to be with the other judges for rearing on Thursday.

Senior Rotorua Trip
The Senior Rotorua Trip has been booked! We will be travelling to Rotorua on Monday 23rd November and staying for three nights at The Backyard Inn. We are fine tuning the activities and will be able to send an itinerary home at the end of this week with revised costings.

Yummy Stickers
A reminder all yummy sticker sheets need to come back to the school whether they have been finished or not by the end of the week. Julia will be tallying these up and getting them sent off so we can order our new sports gear.

Stationery Accounts
Can we please have these all paid up by the end of this week.

Parent Survey
The survey’s that came home last week need to be completed by the end of this week. If you have misplaced your parent survey, we have spare copies in the staff room. Summarised results will be made available at Coroglen School in Term 4 2015.

Native Trees
We have received some Kowhai and ground cover native plants for recycling all our paper which will be planted this week before Pet Day. Many thanks to the Nursery Te Whangai Trust and Hope from Paper for Trees.

Last day of term is this Friday 25th September. Term 4 starts on Monday 12th October. We hope you all have an enjoyable break and come back refreshed and ready to tackle term 4 which is always a busy term.

Have a fantastic week - Penny and the team
