Newsletter, Term 1, Week 4

Hello and Kia ora tatou.

Welcome

Welcome to six and a half year old Vivienne Willis pictured with Alexis Whitford.  Vivienne joins our junior room and came from MBAS.

Internet Use Contract
In line with our health and safety policy and with increased use of ICT equipment and internet access, we are asking all students and their parents to sign and return the agreement below, once they have read and discussed it with their child/ren.

Bus Users Contract/Agreement
Please find attached a copy of the bus rules and the seating plans for this year for children who catch to bus. Please discuss the rules with your children and sign and return the agreement to help ensure the safety of all our bus users.
Our bus monitors are Hayley Winstone-Cullen, Riley-Jean Macdonald and Seth Willigers. They have received training from the police education officer to help them in their role.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding the buses please ring me at school 866 3850 (after 1.30 pm I am usually in the office) or my cell: 027 2890507. Thank you for your support.

Country Swimming Sports Y4-Y8
We will be leaving the school at 9.15am to get to MBAS by 10am. If you are taking your child directly to MBAS please let us know if you haven’t already done so.

It is advisable for children to bring two towels as these do get very wet as well as a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and a packed lunch. We will also be putting up a gazebo for shade. This is the area children need to be in whenever they are not in the pool.

We are expected to be finished about 1.30pm and will head back to school in plenty of time for the afternoon buses unless alternative arrangements have been made.

BOT Meeting
A decision will be made as to the vacancy on the board. If you are interested in joining the board, please let Jean or Seba know before the meeting.
The BOT meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd Feb) at 3.30pm in the school library.

Friday Assembly Awards

Bear for great artwork, Meg and Ty received awards for fantastic listening; Luciano for excellence in story writing. Congratulations to you all.

Free to a good home
