These have been ordered, and will be sent home as soon as they arrive.

Nits
Please check your children for head lice as we have had a few reports of head lice this week.  If they do, please treat them and keep your child/ren at home until they have gone.

This week we say goodbye to the Jordan family, who leave us to move to Taumaranui. We will miss both Zoe and Jessica who have been a breath of fresh air in the junior room.

El Grego the Magician
The older children enjoyed their visit to El Grego the magician yesterday. The children participated in the presentation, and still are wondering how he did a lot of the tricks.
Thank you to the parents who provided transport.

Free one-day film making workshop
This free one-day workshop is open to students from years 7 to 13 as well as teachers and youth workers who want to engage with The Outlook for someday as a vehicle for sustainability film making.
All workshop participants will make short films and screen them at the end of the day.
Each student will also come away with a story idea in development – one that is meaningful to them and which they could then turn into a film as an entry to The Outlook for someday film challenge.
Venue: Wintec Conference Room
Date: 3 June 2014
Time: 9am – 4.30pm
Spaces are limited, so please register online at www.theoutlookforsomeday.net/workshops

 MB Gymnastics
We are currently trying to get Mercury Bay Gymnastics Club up and running again. We had our first meeting and are lucky enough to have a couple of adult and teen coaches keen to help but we are still looking for a head coach. If anyone is willing to help take on this role, full training and support will be given. We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in coaching as we are really hoping to get gymnastics happening again in Whitianga. Please call Amy on 866 3134. If your child is interested in joining gymnastics please watch this space.

Have a fabulous week
Penny and the Team
