Newsletter, T4, Wk5

Hello / Kia Ora

Senior Rotorua Trip
We would like to thank all the parents who have resubmitted their camp slips. There are still some outstanding. The final bookings will be made this Friday.

Lawns Fees
Your lawns fees are also due. $30 per child or $60 for two or more children. Thank you to those families who have already paid their lawns fees.
If you would prefer to mow the lawns, as has been done in previous years, please let us know, and we can schedule your family into a roster.

Athletics Day
Coroglen School have retained the Combined Schools Challenge Shield. The senior athletics cup was won by Moana Manukau with 20 points. She was closely followed by Christina Valdez-Olivet and Leon Melde who both scored 19 points.
The junior athletics cup was jointly won by Ridge Ngataua and Oliver Highway with 20 points. They were closely followed by Reo McQueen and Aria Macdonald who both scored 19 points.
Congratulations to Moana Manukau and Jerome Melde who have both qualified for the Thames Valley meet on Monday 23rd of November.

School Touch
Over the next two Fridays Sport Waikato will be running Touch sessions for the junior and senior children. Children will need to make sure they wear appropriate clothing for touch i.e. shorts.

Swimming Pool

Thanks to Jessie Lockhart for getting the swimming pool ready for use. The children can now start to bring their swimming togs and towels to school. It is also a good idea to make sure all items of clothing are labelled with your child’s name. Any keys still outstanding from last season need to be checked off so please return these to school.

BOT meeting
Next BOT meeting will be Monday the 30th of November in the staff room at 3.15pm. All welcome.

Last day of Term 4
We have allowed the two days Coroglen School was closed due to civil defence and water issues during the year as open days.  On both of these occasions the school was staffed for children arriving at school. Therefore our last day of term 4 is now Tuesday 15th December.

Have a wonderful week.  Penny and the Team
